How to connect AvantPark to Ronspot

This guide offers detailed step-by-step instructions for integrating Ronspot with AvantPark access control system.

AvantPark is a car park management provider that helps organisations control access to their parking facilities. It integrates with various access methods such as ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition), swipe card systems, and PIN input to automate and enforce entry. This ensures only authorised vehicles can access the car park. When integrated with Ronspot, AvantPark enforces physical access based on active user bookings — automatically granting or denying barrier entry based on whether a valid Ronspot reservation exists.

Prerequisites

  • To integrate Ronspot with AvantPark, you must have an active AvantPark account. Contact AvantPark directly to set one up if you do not already have one.
  • The username and password from this account will be entered into the Ronspot integration settings as detailed below.

Step 1: Log in to Ronspot admin panel

Step 2: Navigate to Account > Integrations

  • Go to Account > Integrations 

Step 3: Add a new integration

  1. Click on the Add integration button at the top of the screen.
  2. In the pop-up window, select AvantPark.

Step 4: Configure the AvantPark integration

  • On the subsequent screen, input the following fields:
    • A display name for this integration (e.g. "AvantPark – Main Car Park")
    • the username (typically an email address)
    • the password supplied by AvantPark (i.e. your AvantPark account password)
  • Press Save

Step 5: Associate your Ronspot zones

The last step involves creating associations between the AvantPark account and the specific Ronspot zones you want to integrate. This is necessary because not all zones in your Ronspot account may need an AvantPark Integration.
  • In the list of integrations, locate the new AvantPark integration.
  • Click on the camera icon in the Actions column to connect zones.

Step 6: Add an association

  • Click on the Add association button at the top of the page.
  • Create a new association:
    • Select your Ronspot zone.
    • Select the corresponding AvantPark car park
  • Click Complete to save the association.
  • Repeat this step for each additional Ronspot zone you want to connect to AvantPark.
