How to Adjust Map Zoom Level, Font Size, and Booking Display

Follow the steps below to adjust the zoom level, font size, and booking display on your map.

Step 1: Navigate to 'Zones/Maps'

Step 2: Edit Your Zone

  • Locate the zone you want to edit from the list and click on the Edit button next to the selected zone.

Step 3: Adjust Display Settings

On the next page, go to the Display tab. Here, you can modify several settings:

Display-Settings

    • Default Map Zoom Level: Use the range slider to adjust the default zoom level of the map. Move the selector to the right to zoom in or to the left to zoom out.
    • Show Availability Colour: Choose how the availability of spaces is displayed on the map:
      • Background and Borders: Colours are shown on both the background and borders of each spot.
      • Borders Only: Colours are shown only on the borders.
      • Colour Vision Deficiency: Colours are shown on both the background and borders of each spot and an "X" will appear on unavailable spots, and a "B" (standing for "Booked") will appear on your reserved spot.
    • Show Bookings to Staff: Enable or disable the display of other employees' names who have booked spaces on the map.
      • Yes, full name (e.g. John Doe)
      • Yes, initials only (e.g. J.D.)
      • Yes, first name initial plus last name (e.g. J.Doe)
      • No

Tips: It’s recommended to disable this feature for parking zones and enable it for desking zones.

    • Map Font Size: Adjust the font size for the spot name and the employee's name (when a spot is booked) on the map. This helps to make text easier to read and better fit within each spot.
    • Click Update at the bottom of the page.

Step 4: Review Your Changes

Return to the admin dashboard to view the updated map with your new settings. If necessary, revisit the Display tab to fine-tune the settings.

Note: The Show Availability Colour option does not apply to the admin dashboard view. This setting is only reflected on the user's map.

By following these steps, you can ensure that your map display in Ronspot is tailored to meet the specific needs of your workspace or car park, enhancing usability for all users.
