How to Connect Microsoft Intune to Ronspot

This guide outlines how to deploy the Ronspot app using Microsoft Intune in a Mobile Application Management (MAM) configuration, which is suitable for employees using personal devices (BYOD).

Microsoft Intune, also known as Microsoft Endpoint Manager, is a cloud-based service that allows company administrators to manage mobile devices, apps, and security.

For company-owned devices, a Mobile Device Management (MDM) configuration is recommended, but the setup process differs slightly from MAM.

 

MAM Configuration for Ronspot

Step 1: Download the ‘Comp Portal’ App

  1. Instruct your employees to download the Comp Portal app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store on their personal devices.
  2. They can find the app by searching for Comp Portal in the respective store.

Step 2: Log in with Your Microsoft Company Email

  1. Once the Comp Portal App is installed, employees should log in with their Microsoft company email credentials.
  2. After logging in, they will see a list of apps available for installation.

Step 3: Click on ‘Postpone’

  1. During the setup, employees may be prompted to download a management profile.
  2. As this setup is for MAM, this step is not required. Employees should select the Postpone option.

Step 4: Install the Ronspot App

  1. In the following screen, employees should tap on the Ronspot App.
  2. They will be directed to the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android) where they can install the Ronspot app directly.

Configuring Microsoft Endpoint Manager for Ronspot

Step 1: Log in to Microsoft Endpoint Manager

  • As a company administrator, log in to the Microsoft Endpoint Manager portal.

Step 2: Navigate to ‘Apps’

  • On the left-hand side of the menu, click on Apps.

Step 3: Add the Ronspot App

  • You will need to add the Ronspot app as both an iOS app and an Android app.
  • In this guide, we'll focus on adding the iOS version first.
  • Click on iOS/iPadOS.

  • At the top of the page, click on +Add.

  • Choose iOS store type as the app type.
  • Click Select.

  1. On the following page, click on Search the App Store.
  2. Type Ronspot into the search box and select the Ronspot app when it appears.
  3. Click Select.

Step 7: Review App Properties

  • The next page will display the app properties and details.
  • Review the information and click on Next.

  1. Ensure that access is allowed for All Company and All Users in the Assignments section.
  2. Click Next to complete the setup.
