How to Create User Tags (Employee Roles)
Ronspot’s role search feature allows employees to quickly identify and locate key personnel, such as fire marshals, first aiders, and other designated roles.

- Administrators can create custom roles tailored to the unique needs of their company and assign them to specific employees.
- This search functionality isn't limited to safety roles; it also empowers employees to search for any custom role within the organization and easily locate the corresponding individuals on the map.
Creating New User Tags
Step 1: Navigate to 'Employee Roles'
- Log in to the Ronspot admin panel.
- In the sidebar menu on the left, click on
Advanced Settings
. - Under
Advanced Settings
, selectEmployee Roles
.
Step 2: Click 'Add Role'
- Click on the
+ Add Role
button.
Step 3: Configure the New Role
Employee Role
: Enter the name of the new role (e.g., Fire Warden).Select Icon
: Click on the dropdown menu to choose an icon that represents the employee role.- Click on the
Update
button to save the new role.
Assigning Roles to Employees
Step 1: Navigate to 'Employees'
- In the sidebar menu on the left, click on
Employees
.
Step 2: Click the 'Roles' column
- Find the employee you want to assign a role to
- In the 'Role' column, click on

Step 3: Assign Tags to the Employee
- In the Roles section, tick the checkbox(es) next to the role(s) you want to assign to the employee.
- Click on the
Update
button to save the changes.
Filtering Bookings by Role
Step 1: Navigate to 'Bookings'
- In the sidebar menu, click on
Bookings
.
Step 2: View the 'Role' Column
- In the "Role" column, you can view the role assigned to each employee.
Step 3: Filter Bookings by Role
- To filter bookings by role, click on
Filter by: Role
above the table. - Select a role from the dropdown menu on the right to display bookings for employees with that specific role.
