How to set priority allocation of random spaces

Setting priority allocation for random spaces in Ronspot allows you to control the order in which spaces are allocated to employees. By assigning a ranking value to each space, you can ensure that certain spaces are allocated first or last.

Step 1: Navigate to 'Parking Spaces' or 'Desks'

  • Log in to the Ronspot admin panel.
  • Navigate to Spaces > Parking spaces or Spaces > Desks depending on the type of space you want to configure.

Step 2: Edit the space

  • Find the specific space you want to prioritise
  • Then click on the space name or the pencil icon

Step 3: Set the ranking value

  • Find the Ranking value section.
  • Choose a value:
    • Assign a ranking value between 0 and 100 to the space.
    • Lower values (e.g., 0-50): Spaces with lower values will be allocated first when an employee requests a random space.
    • Higher values (e.g., 51-100): Spaces with higher values will be allocated last when an employee requests a random space.
  1. Click Update to save the changes.

Step 4: Repeat for other spaces

  • Repeat the same steps for all the other spaces you want to configure with a priority ranking value.

Applicability:

  • The ranking values you set only apply when an employee requests a random space.
  • If an employee chooses to go to the map and select a space themselves, the ranking order will not apply. In such cases, employees can select any available space regardless of its ranking value.

By following these steps, you can effectively manage the priority allocation of random spaces in your organization, ensuring that the most desirable spots are filled first or that certain spaces are reserved for last-minute allocations.
