How to Sync Bookings with My Calendar

Syncing your Ronspot bookings with your personal calendar is a great way to keep track of your reservations and ensure you never miss an important booking.


1. Navigate to the 'Profile' Section:

  • Once inside the app, locate and tap on the ... icon, found in the bottom navigation bar.
  • Then select My Profile on the next page.

2.Enable Calendar Sync:

  • In the Sync Bookings with Calendar section of your profile, move the toggle switch to Yes to activate the feature.

3. Make a Booking: Proceed with the booking process as you normally would.

4. Email Confirmation:

  • You will automatically receive an email in the next minutes following the booking.
  • This email contains an ICS file that automatically adds the booking to your calendar.

 

Troubleshooting

  • The Booking Doesn't Appear in My Calendar: If a booking doesn’t show up in your calendar, it might be due to:

    • Syncing Delay: It may take a few minutes for the email to arrive. Please allow some time for syncing.

    • Retroactive Syncing Not Supported: Ensure that Calendar Sync was enabled before you made your booking. Past bookings will not be synced retroactively.
    • Different Linked Email Address: Ensure that the email address linked to your Ronspot account matches the one used in your calendar.
    • Emails Blocked by Your Mail Server: If you think emails might be getting blocked, please reach out to your IT Department for assistance.
    • Unsupported Calendar: ICS files are supported by most popular calendars, including Outlook, Teams, Google Calendar, and the Windows Calendar app. Please verify your calendar's compatibility.
  • Will the Booking Block Time in My Calendar? This depends on the type of booking:
    • Parking Booking: No, it will show as an all-day event marked as Free.
    • Desk Booking: No, it will appear as an all-day event marked as Free.
    • Meeting Room Booking: Yes, the chosen timeslot for the meeting will be blocked in your calendar.
  • Will My Past Bookings Sync If I Just Enabled the Setting? No, only bookings made after enabling the sync feature will be added to your calendar. Past bookings will not be synced retroactively.
