Why can I not book a parking space?

I have a Ronspot account. I can login. But I still cannot book a parking space, why not?

Why Can’t I Book a Car Park Space?

If you are unable to book a car parking space using Ronspot, there may be several factors affecting your ability to make a booking. Below is a guide to help you understand the potential reasons and how to address them.

1. The Car Park is Full

One of the most common reasons you might not be able to make a booking is that the car park is fully booked. If all spaces are reserved, no further bookings can be made until a spot becomes available. We recommend checking availability for a future date when spaces may open up.

2. Available Spaces are Reserved for Specific Users

Even if there appear to be available spaces in the car park, they may be restricted to certain user groups. For example, your organisation might allocate specific spaces to particular departments or senior management. In such cases, only users with the appropriate access rights will be able to book those spaces.

3. Vehicle Size Restrictions

The size of your vehicle may also prevent you from making a booking. Car parks may have spaces designated for Compact or Regular sized vehicles, and if your vehicle is classified as Large, you may not be able to book a space. To ensure accurate booking, please check the vehicle size requirements of the available spaces.

4. Only EV Spaces Available

If there are spaces available but they are designated for Electric Vehicles (EV) and your vehicle is not an EV, you will not be able to book these spaces. Check if there are any standard parking spaces available, or speak to your administrator about adjusting your vehicle classification.

5. Booking Date is Not Yet Available

Your company administrator may have set restrictions on how far in advance bookings can be made. If you are attempting to book too far in advance, the system may prevent the booking. Please verify the booking window with your company’s car park administrator, as they may allow bookings only a certain number of days before the required date.

6. Have You Added Your Vehicle Registration to Your Account?

If your vehicle registration has not been added to your account, you will not be able to make a car park booking. You can update your vehicle information in the Profile page of your Ronspot account. This can be done either through the Ronspot App or via the Web platform.

What Should I Do If I Still Can’t Book?

If none of the above factors seem to be the cause of your issue, we recommend reaching out to your organisation’s parking administrator for further clarification. They will be able to review your account settings, vehicle details, and the current availability of spaces to provide additional guidance.
